Sun Secure Global Desktop Client

You can access Secure Global Desktop server using a separate, dedicated application that integrates with your desktop.

To install an Secure Global Desktop Client, follow the instructions for your client device.

Mac OS X

  1. Not available on this platform.

Microsoft Windows

  1. Download the Secure Global Desktop Client for Microsoft Windows, sgdcwin-en.exe, to a temporary directory on your PC.
  2. Double-click sgdcwin-en.exe to install the Secure Global Desktop Client.
  3. Follow the instructions on your screen.

Linux x86 32-bit

  1. Download the Secure Global Desktop Client for Linux x86 32-bit, sgdci3li.tar, to a temporary directory on your system.
  2. At a command prompt, extract the tar file by typing tar xvf sgdci3li.tar.
  3. Install the Client by typing sh sgdc/install.
  4. Follow the instructions on your screen.

Solaris™ Operating System (Solaris OS) on x86 platforms

  1. Download the Secure Global Desktop Client for Solaris OS on x86 platforms, sgdci3so.tar, to a temporary directory on your system.
  2. At a command prompt, extract the tar file by typing tar xvf sgdci3so.tar.
  3. Install the Client by typing sh sgdc/install.
  4. Follow the instructions on your screen.

Solaris OS on SPARC® platforms

  1. Download the Secure Global Desktop Client for Solaris OS on SPARC platforms, sgdcspso.tar, to a temporary directory on your system.
  2. At a command prompt, extract the tar file by typing tar xvf sgdcspso.tar.
  3. Install the Client by typing sh sgdc/install.
  4. Follow the instructions on your screen.
